September 29, 2025 Newsletter
Hello neighbors,
It was wonderful to see so many people at Saturday's neighborhood cleanup! Thanks to all who joined as well as the organizers: the RTCO environmental committee (thanks, Devon!) and Free DC (thanks, Greg!).
The next exciting neighborhood event is coming up on Sunday, October 5 from 2 to 4 PM: the River Terrace Garden Tour. We will start at the Rose Garden across the street from the AME Zion Church. During the tour, you'll have the chance to chat with fellow RT neighbors, exchange tips, and maybe even discover your new favorite plant.
Hope to see you there,
Katie

Mama Majeed Kitchen
After I participated in the neighborhood cleanup on Saturday, the smell of food called to me from Clay Place and 34th Street, and I found this sign for Mama Majeed Kitchen. They're planning to be open for at least one more month on the last Saturday of October from 7 AM to 6 PM. Don't miss the cabbage stir fry - it was incredible!
