We will be scheduling a follow-up walkthrough which will include agency leads in October. The Councilmember's staff will also be joining our RTCO meeting in September and sharing more updates then.


New EV Charging Station

There is a new EV charging station located at 3375 Benning RD NE next to the Shell Gas Station. DOEE has been working with the property owner Transco to replace a broken-down charging station through a federal grant that DOEE received last year, and it has been open for just a few weeks now.


The D.C. Courts are now asking for your feedback on proposed new programs that would provide people with low- to no-cost legal help. This report – released on July 31, 2025 – details several possible initiatives that could address the significant gap in legal help for lower- to moderate-income D.C. residents. Comments on the report must be submitted by October 31, 2025


Events DC's Summer Movie Series: Piece By Piece


Join Events DC at Summer Movie Series at the DC Armory Lawn (located directly in front of the DC Armory) on Thursday, August 7. This free event will feature Piece by Piece (2024), favorite movie snacks and light fare, fun activities, a DJ, and community resources. It is encouraged to bring a lawn blanket or chair to watch during the movie.

Chocolate City Criterium

Chocolate City Criterium celebrates Washington, D.C.’s cultural legacy by blending cycling with the city’s rich history and vibrant Go-Go music scene. It highlights D.C.'s identity while fostering connections between the cycling community and the city’s cultural heritage. Chocolate City Criterium's fast and technical course pays homage to the past by utilizing parts of a former training race and the 2002 Grand Prix of Washington D.C. circuit while celebrating Events DC's future vision for The Fields at RFK Campus.

To accommodate everyone in a safe and timely manner, DPW now requires registration to participate in the Special Waste Collection Events. District residents can sign up for a 15-minute entry slot when residents can arrive anytime in the 15-minute period, and a DPW staff member will assist them. Please note that the time selected is the arrival window, not the time of services. Only one ticket is required per vehicle. No entry will be allowed after 2:00 pm. Open to DC residents only. Please bring proof of residency (e.g., a driver's license, utility bill, lease agreement) and the Eventbrite registration. No commercial waste will be allowed. Register here.
