Hi neighbors,
Please scroll all the way down - there are several notices about street repaving work in the neighborhood that will impact parking.
Also, planning is ramping up for River Terrace day: September 5, 2026 12-6 pm
RTCO is looking for volunteers to help with setup and teardown as well as equipment donations (tables, chairs, tents, and grills). Donations are also welcome and can be sent via Zelle to Riverterraceinfo@gmail.com or by check payable to the River Terrace Community Organization or cash.
If you can help or have any questions, please reach out to me at dorisbishop62@gmail.com or riverterraceinfo@gmail.com.
Best,

Late Skate: July 25
Friends of Anacostia Park and the National Park Service are excited to kick off the 7th season of Late Skate, a summer tradition that brings people together for recreation, live music, culture, and community in Anacostia Park. From 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., visitors can enjoy free skating and skate rentals, fishing, boat rides with the Anacostia Watershed Society, arts and crafts, games, food, and opportunities to connect with local organizations through Partner Village.
Providing the soundtrack for the day is 95.5 WPGC's DJ Jealousy, a Washington, DC native and the Stadium DJ for the Washington Commanders. From 6 pm – 8 pm, the crowd-favorite Go-Go Karaoke Live, featuring The Pressure Band, gives community members a chance to grab the mic and join the show. We close the night with DC Link Up from 8 pm – 10 pm, a vibrant skate community known for bringing skaters from across the region together for themed nights, great music, and fun on the rink.
Late Skate is free and open to everyone. Whether you're coming to skate, fish, take a boat ride, dance, connect with resources, or simply spend time with family and friends, there's something for you.
