- The City Nature Challenge is an international community science event in which people can document all types of wildlife in their communities. This year, the CNC spans four days, from April 24 - April 27, and coincides with our Earth Day Cleanup. We are encouraging participants of the Cleanup on April 25th to, in addition to picking up trash, take pictures of wildlife and plants to upload onto the iNaturalist application. Participants have until May 10, 2026 to upload their photos. Click here for more information and instructions
Be prepared to get dirty, take pictures of the plants and wildlife around you, have fun, and help your community!
RFK Master Plan Survey
The Office of Planning, on behalf of DC Government, invites residents to participate in an online survey for development of the RFK Master Plan. This survey includes information and questions shared at the March 24 and 28 open house events, for those unable to attend the in-person events or who wish to share more input.
The survey covers ideas for new building uses, park design, programming, accessibility, connectivity, and community amenities.
Please allow at least 30 minutes to complete this survey. It will remain open through April 12.

DC 2050 Virtual Workshop
The Office of Planning has published a draft future land use map and is seeking feedback on the proposed land use changes. The future land use map guides the use, density, and height of what can be built in each area of the city, as well as things like connectivity and public spaces. It will be paired with policy language, which is the next step in the DC 2050 process.
Comment on our proposed land use changes in the virtual workshop, open through April 30.
