RFK Virtual Quarterly Meeting

ANC 7D Virtual Meeting

I strongly recommend that you join the monthly virtual ANC 7D meetings. During these meetings, we hear from multiple DC government agencies and organizations about upcoming news, events, policy changes, and opportunities.

GGWash Monthly Happy Hour - Friends of Vision Zero

Join Greater Greater Washington, Washington Area Bicyclist Association (WABA), DC Families for Safe Streets, and the Coalition for Smarter Growth (CSG) for a "Friends of Vision Zero" happy hour with DC Advisory Neighborhood Commissioners and members of the ANC Vision Zero Caucus.

All are welcome to join us from 6 to 8 pm at Sonny's for a casual meet-up that will include optional facilitated group discussion of challenges citywide, ANC activities, and ANC-advocacy-community collaboration.

Leadership Council for a Cleaner Anacostia River (LCCAR) Quarterly Meeting

The LCCAR meets quarterly to discuss and advise on the District's Anacostia River Sediment Project (ARSP). Assembled in September 2014, the Leadership Council consists of 25 high-level local, state, and federal government officials and environmental leaders who support the Mayor's vision for a fishable and swimmable Anacostia River. These trainings are for people who do not have a lawyer and want to learn about their legal rights and options.


YBA PLAY: Summer 2026 

Greetings from the Nats Academy!  We are excited to share the details for YBA PLAY, our free summer baseball league for boys and girls, ages 5-12, that we will be operating at Nats Academy (3675 Ely Pl SE).  No baseball or softball experience is required to attend.  We use safety equipment and gamify the skills to make them super fun.  The goal of this program is for participants to make friends, form positive relationships with trusted adults, improve athletic skills, and grow their social emotional capacities.

  • Dates: 6/22-7/30
  • Ages 5-8 – Monday practices & Wednesday games (6:15-7:45pm)
  • Ages 9-12 – Tuesday practices & Thursday games (6:15-7:45pm)

Programmatic Highlights

  • Free Nike uniform for all participants
  • Snack and dinner provided each night for all participants
  • No equipment needed – Nats Academy will have all the necessary equipment for each session

Volunteer Coaching – This program will have Site Coordinators hired by the Academy to lead on-field activities.  We would love for high school students (community service hours), college students, young professionals, and parents to join us to support as volunteer coaches.  Interested parties can sign-up to coach HERE and join us on Wednesday 6/17 from 6-8pm at the Nats Academy (3675 Ely Pl SE) for training to be set up for success.  Volunteer coaches also receive a Nike dri-fit shirt and Nats Academy hat.
