Hello neighbors,
Please take some time to review the Weekly Construction Updates here. Alden Place repaving was due to begin today, but it looks like rain delayed that. No parking is allowed on Alden from 7 AM -5 PM this week, and I saw several cars still parked as of this morning. Please move your cars so you don't get towed!

Rodent Abatement Blitz Pilot Program
At the last RTCO meeting, I know we were all excited to hear about a pilot program involving rat contraceptives. Unfortunately, I received news that the pilot is limited to Adams Morgan for the first three weeks of the program. After that, DC Health plans to expand the three-week blitz cycles to Barracks Row and Chinatown, and then work with partners including Business Improvement Districts and Advisory Neighborhood Commissions to cover other areas of the city.
My recommendation is to keep writing to the DC Health to express and interest in being included in further programs, and I will do the same.

You’ll explore the ecological and historical changes that have occurred in the river and in the communities around the river and witness some of the restoration of river habitats and how it has caused the rebound of the wildlife in the Anacostia River.
Registration opens on this page on May 15th.
